NOTE: no toilets on walk

Prior to walk start  Carpooling to be arranged for start point (Corinella) & cars set for finish of walk at Tenby Point beach carpark.

WALK: Sandy/gravel walking track 2km beside farmland, then Tenby Pt street/road (no footpath) to the end -  about 1.5km. Easy

Take track down to beach - sand with some rocks - about 4.5km. (or more if requested) E/M

Lunch / Comments

 LUNCH:  BYO lunch. Tea & coffee supplied. Pick up cars at start point.

Afterwards, on way home, we suggest a stop off at the Corinella Cemetery on Cemetery Rd, to admire the wild flowers this time of year.

Approx. route - might change beach sightly.

Short Walk - Corinella to La Provincia

Meet at the park opposite the Corinella Community Centre at 8.45 ready for a 9am start.

We will be walking from Corinella to La Provincia on Monday. This is a longer walk than usual (approx 6km) but we can organise a shorter option. My walking group will drive back to La Provincia where our walk will start

Away Walk Bunyip State Park

Meet at Mortimer Picnic Ground Bunyip State Forest, Triangle road, Gembrook at 9.15 for 9.30 start. Approx 1hr 15min from Anderson

Walk 1.

Cannibal Creek Loop walk

Approx 6.5km (Easy to Moderate)

Fairly steady climb with some steep sections until you get to the Ridge.

Nice views of surrounding hills and lots of wildlife.

After lunch at Mortimer Picnic Ground

Walk 2.

Ferres walking track Loop (Easy to Moderate)

2 options depending how we're feeling

Either 7.5km or shorter 3km option both have a fairly steep section partly single track

Different terrain on this walk with towering gums and tree ferns.

Mouth of the Powlett River Kilcunda, for long & short walkers

At the carpark nearest the mouth of the Powlett River. You need to cross the single lane bridge.
Details

Both Short and Long walkers will complete the first part  together.

Walking up a gravel road to the edge of the Desalination plant reserve then looping down through a tea tree scrub track to the Powlett River/ beach area (soft wet sand). We say goodbye to the short walkers here.
The long walkers will proceed along the beach about 2km on soft wet sand (the tide is high so don't get your feet wet!)

Lunch / Comments

Morning tea is at Williamson's beach before heading up to the Desal plant and back down to the tea tree scrub track again towards our cars (total about 9km)
